Twinning Trip to West End Golf Club in Halifax
Saturday May 10th 2008
Fine Weather, fine food and excellent company was the order of the day when Holywell Golf Club travelled to Yorkshire for a twinning golf day at West end Golf club.
A Holywell member joined two from Halifax to form teams of three for a Stableford format, in which Kevin Carney who was the best Holywell player and assisted by team mates Graham and Harold, came 2nd overall.
Following an interim of social chat and get together a sumptuous banquet was laid out for all to enjoy.
West End Captain Derek Currell welcomed his guests and Holywell Captain Ian Smith responded by thanking West End for their hospitality. Entertainment and music followed well into the night.
Everybody agreed it was a fabulous day,and on behalf of all who attended, many thanks for looking after us so well. We look forward to welcoming West End Golf Club members to the twinning event next year
